Who is Local Link?
Local Link provides safe secure and reliable Public Transport services in local and rural areas of Ireland.  There are 17 Local Link offices. See Location Map for contact details of your nearest Local Link or Rural Transport Group.

How can I find out about Local Link services in my area?
There are 2 ways in which to find out about local link services in your area.The details of all Local Link services are available on the National Journey Planner.It is however advisable to contact your closest Local Link office as many services require pre-booking, particularly where door to door services are available

Will my Free Travel Pass be accepted on Local Link?
Yes – Free Travel Passes are accepted on all Local Link Services

What is the fare on the Local Link bus?
The majority of our buses fares are €3 single and €6 return. There is different fare prices so please call the office on 0749741644 to confirm fare amounts.

Will existing services continue?
Yes. Existing services will continue subject to the continued availability of funding at current levels.

Will the door-to-door services continue?
Yes, demand responsive and flexible services which operate door-to-door or close to a residence will continue to be provided as part of rural transport services.

Will the current users of the Programme be assisted and advised of how to make contact with the Local Links to book the services that they currently use or wish to use?
Yes all necessary assistance will be provided to those current and potential future users to ensure the needs of those users are met over the transition and into the new structure.
